Our royal jelly is hand harvested from our bees in the spring time when they are most abundant and thriving and singing as a part of our swarm prevention/ reduction practices. We only harvest royal jelly the bees produce in making swarm queens when the hive is at its healthiest. Most commercially available royal jelly is harvested by tricking the bees into a state of queenlessness where they make queens from a state of emergency.
The royal jelly we harvest from our treatment free hives is a limited batch size each year so stock up while you can. Our royal jelly is extracted in alcohol made from distilled mead- the spirit of honey, so everything in this bottle is medicine of the hive.
